新区是我国重要的先进制造业基地和海洋新兴产业集聚区，培育形成了汽车制造、家电电子、石油化工、船舶海工、机械装备、航运物流六大千亿级产业集群。

The New Area is an important base for advanced manufacturing and a gathering area for emerging marine industries in China. It has cultivated six 100-billion-yuan-level industrial clusters, namely automobile manufacturing, home appliances and electronics, petrochemicals, marine engineering, machinery and equipment, and shipping logistics.

(1) 航运物流 Shipping logistics

青岛港是我国长江以北航线数量和密度最大的港口，中国第二大贸易口岸，与世界上180多个国家和地区的700多个港口有航线和贸易往来，是全国首个智慧、绿色“双五星”港口。

Qingdao Port is the port with the largest number and density of routes north of the Yangtze River. It is China's second largest trading port that has routes and trade connections with over 700 ports in more than 180 countries and regions worldwide. It is the first port in China to achieve both "double five-star" ratings in terms of intelligence and green initiatives.

(2) 船舶海工 Marine Engineering

中国北方重要的船舶制造和海洋工程基地，聚集了船舶制造与海洋工程企业100余家。海西湾船舶与海洋工程产业基地是国家规划建设的四大造船基地之一，也是国家级新型工业化船舶制造产业示范基地和国家级船舶出口基地。

As an important shipbuilding and marine engineering base in northern China, Qingdao West Coast New Area is home to more than 100 shipbuilding and marine engineering companies. The Haixi Bay Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering Industrial Base is one of the four major shipbuilding bases planned and constructed by the country. It is also a national-level demonstration base for new industrialized shipbuilding and a national-level ship export.

(3) 家电电子 Home Appliance and Electronics

中国北方最大的家电生产基地，现有海尔、海信、澳柯玛、松下电子、西门子等规模以上工业企业88家。

As the largest home appliance production base in northern China, Qingdao West Coast New Area has 88 industrial enterprises above designated size, such as Haier, Hisense, Aucma, Panasonic Electronics and Siemens.

(4）汽车制造 Automobile Manufacturing

中国北方最大的汽车生产基地。汇聚了上汽通用五菱、福田雷沃国际重工、中集专用车、威伯科控制系统等企业，形成了乘用车、特种车、汽车零部件、工程机械的产业链。现有整车和零部件生产配套企业近60家。具备年产70万辆整车和发动机的生产能力。

Qingdao West Coast New Area is the largest automobile manufacturing base in northern China, gathering SAIC-GM-Wuling, Foton Lovol International Heavy Industry, CIMC Special Vehicles, WABCO Control Systems and other enterprises, forming an industrial chain of passenger cars, special vehicles, auto parts and engineering machinery. There are nearly 60 complete vehicle and parts production companies, with an annual production capacity of 700,000 vehicles and engines.

（5）石油化工 Petrochemicals

全国重要的安全环保型石化产业基地。现有中石化、海湾化学、思远化工等规模以上工业企业197余家。

Qingdao West Coast New Area is an important safe and eco-friendly base of the petrochemical industry. There are 197 industrial enterprises above designated size in the New Area, including Sinopec Qingdao Refining & Chemical Company, Haiwan Chemical and Siyuan Chemical.

(6) 机械装备 Machinery and Equipment

新区传统优势产业，包括橡胶机械、工矿设备、纺织机械等行业领域，是中国最大的无梭纺织机生产基地。

Traditional advantageous industries in the New Area include rubber machinery, industrial and mining equipment, and textile machinery. It is also China's largest shuttleless loom manufacturing base.

坚持高端化、智能化、绿色化方向，提升发展船舶海工、智能家电、高端化工新材料、汽车、高端装备五大传统优势产业，2024 年产业规模突破4000亿元。

Adhering to high-end, intelligent, and green development, the New Area continues enhancing the development of the five traditional advantageous industries of shipbuilding and marine engineering, intelligent home appliances, high-end new chemical materials, automobiles, and high-end equipment. By 2024, their industrial scale is expected to exceed 400 billion yuan.

聚焦“芯屏”、海洋生物医药、虚拟现实、人工智能、影视等五大战略性新兴产业重点领域、关键环节，实施重点突破、跨代赶超，2024年产业规模突破810亿元。超前布局基因技术、未来网络、海洋物联网、深海开发、空天信息五大未来产业，抢占发展制高点。

Focusing on key areas and key links in the five major strategic emerging industries of chips and displays, marine biomedicine, virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and film and television, the New Area aims for key breakthroughs and leapfrog development. By 2024, their industrial scale is expected to exceed 81 billion yuan. Moreover, the New Area also takes the lead in developing five future industries of gene technology, future networks, marine Internet of Things, deep-sea development, and aerospace information, to seize the high ground of development.

强化高端产业引领，以加快先进制造业与现代服务业融合发展为主线，聚力发展现代金融、现代物流、现代商贸、软件和信息服务、科技服务、文化旅游、会展等七大现代服务业，2024年生产性服务业增加值突破1850亿元。

By strengthening the leading role of high-end industries and accelerating the integrated development of advanced manufacturing and modern services, the New Area focuses on developing seven major modern service industries of modern finance, modern logistics, modern commerce, software and information services, technology services, cultural tourism, and exhibitions. By 2024, the value added of productive services is expected to exceed 185 billion yuan.

新区获批国家引进外国智力示范区、知识产权强国建设示范园区、山东省知识产权保护示范区和山东省人才改革试验区。科技力量雄厚，人才资源丰富，产业工人培训体系完备，科研院所、高等院校及职业技术学校云集，建立了完善的人才引进以及培育储备体系。实施“梧桐树”聚才新政，引进海内外人才来新区创新创业，打造人才汇集高地。

The New Area has been approved as a national demonstration area for recruiting talent from overseas, a demonstration park for building a strong intellectual property country, a demonstration zone for intellectual property protection in Shandong Province, and a pilot area for talent reform in Shandong Province. It harbors strong scientific and technological strength, abundant human resources, a complete industrial-worker training system, scientific research institutes, universities and vocational and technical schools, and a sound talent introduction and cultivation reserve system.
